Webinar #1: Introducing International Data Week 2021
International Data Week (IDW) 2021—Data to Improve our World: The Role of Data to Address Global Challenges—will take place on 8–11 November 2021 in Seoul, South Korea, hosted by the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI) and the Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science (KRISS), the National Library of Korea (NLK), the Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine (KIOM), the Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources (KIGAM), and Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU). The four days will cover the following sub-themes: The State of Open Science / Research Globally; Research Transparency, Accountability and Reproducibility; Data, Research and Industry: The Interface between Data-intensive Research and Innovation; Citizen Science; Empowering and Enabling Society: Data Science and Stewardship Education and Data Literacy.
This is the first of the two webinars, presented in English, that will introduce IDW 2021: the hosts, themes, and programme components, as well as provide key information on calls for session proposals. The 45-minute webinar will be recorded and made available following the events.
