As part of an international effort to set up domain specific data portals as a service for the scientific community, climate data are collected, stored at DKRZ, and disseminated through the World Data Centre for Climate (WDCC). At WDCC emphasis is on climate data products, specifically those resulting from climate simulations (climate model data). Archival of raw data from satellites or climate models is not in focus.
